In order to promote national support for the Springbok Rugby Team ahead of their trip to New Zealand in September/October, Vodacom (Pty) Ltd ("Vodacom") is conducting the Vodacom Shosholoza competition ("the competition") on Vodacom Rugby homepage, www.vodacom.co.za/rugby.

Participants will be required to upload a video clip or recording where they are featured singing and/or performing the Shosholoza song. The recommended size of the video clip or recording should not exceed 10 mb. Participants will not be permitted to mime a version of the Shosholoza song that has previously been performed by any other person.

All participants during the term of the competition agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:


1. The competition will run between 08H00 on 11 June and 00:00 pm. on 25 August 2011.
2. Five (5) winners stand a chance to win one set of double airline tickets each to New Zealand. The prize will include return flights and accommodation, travel and subsistence while in New Zealand between 12 October 2011 and 24 October 2011. The total value of the prize per winner is R150 000.00 .
3. All return flights to South Africa will be economy class and will be fully paid for as part of the competition prize. Air tickets will be purchased from an Airline chosen by Vodacom. Vodacom will not be liable for flights other than those on the competition itinerary.
4. To qualify, participants have to submit a video of them singing "Shosholoza" to www.vodacom.co.za/rugby or m.vodacom.co.za/rugby.
5. Participants are allowed to submit as many video entries as they like.

General terms and conditions

1. This promotion is open to all persons residing in South Africa, using any of the local cellular Networks. (Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, 8TA, Virgin Mobile, Red Bull Mobile).
2. Entry into this competition is free, however standard data costs as charged by the participants Service Provider will apply.
3. Five (5) participants each stand a chance of winning one set of double airline tickets to New Zealand.
4. To qualify, participants will be required to upload a video clip or recording where they are featured singing and/or performing the Shosholoza song. The recommended size of the video clip or recording should not exceed 10 mb. 5. Participants have to log on to www.vodacom.co.za/rugby or m.vodacom.co.za/rugby and follow the easy steps to upload their video shot on webcam, mobile phone or other device.
6. The prize will include return flights from Johannesburg to Auckland via Sydney on Air New Zealand and SAA via Perth and 11 nights' accommodation at Sudima Hotel Auckland Airport (4 star), travel and subsistence while in New Zealand between 12 October 2011 and 24 October 2011.
7. The prize includes medical and travel insurance package as arranged with the travel agent. Details will be made available to winners on finalising of travel arrangements.
8. Vodacom will not be liable for flights other than those on the competition itinerary:

9. The winners will not be allowed to make changes to the accommodation, hotels and airline services.
10. Participants must be in possession of a valid South African identity document or South African permanent residence permit or a valid South African temporary residence permit valid for a period exceeding 12 (twelve) months. All participants should have a passport enabling them to travel to New Zealand.
11. South African passport holders do not currently require a visa for New Zealand. Should the winners not have passport that allows them to travel to New Zealand without a visa, winners will have to make arrangements for their visas as required.
12. Winners have to be available to use the prize only from 12 – 24 October 2011. Should any of the winners not be available to utilize the prize during this period, they will forfeit the prize and Vodacom may in the exercise of its discretion nominate another winner.
13. Winners have to be 18 years or older.
14. The promotional period will run from 08H00 on 11 June and 00:00 p.m. on 25 August 2011.
15. Only entries received during the promotional period will qualify as potential winners.
16. Participants are allowed to enter as many times as they like.
17. Vodacom reserves the right to not publish any material, which is determined in their sole discretion, to be offensive, undesirable or inappropriate.
18. Entrants by virtue of uploading or submitting their video entries, consent to Vodacom using their image, names and likeness on Vodacom's online properties, print, radio and TV advertising for the purposes of promotion without compensation or remuneration. This provision is made irrespective of whether or not the entrant has been selected as a winner.
19. In the event of a dispute over ownership of the entry, Vodacom shall deem the owner to be the entrant having submitted the video and entered in their MSISDN number.
20. Winners will be selected by a Vodacom panel of judges from a list of all participants who have uploaded a video of themselves singing.
21. The Winners of the main prize will be notified telephonically at the end of the competition on the contact number that was used to enter the competition.
22. Winners must be able to identify themselves in a manner determined by Vodacom as the actual participant of the promotion and have to comply with the required validation procedure in order to claim the prize.
23. The duration of the promotion may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Vodacom.
24. The prizes are not transferable.
25. In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the promotion and/or the terms and conditions, Vodacom's decision will be final and binding and no correspondence may be entered into.
26. A prize winners name, location and image may be published on the Vodacom website(s).
27. Winners will be contacted during working hours, between 8 am and 5 pm.
28. Vodacom will use reasonable efforts to contact the winner.
29. Should a participant not be available, that person's right to the prize will be deemed to have been waived and the prize will be forfeited. Vodacom reserves the right to then award the prize to the next in line.
30. Vodacom shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the winner in claiming the prize. All risks and ownership of the prize shall pass to the winner on transfer/delivery thereof and hence all of Vodacom's obligations in regard to the promotion as well as in regard to the prize shall terminate.
31. Vodacom is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any entry or participant for any reason and will not be obliged to notify participants that they are rejected.
32. Vodacom is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation and/or prize redemption process of the promotion.
33. Employees, directors, agents, contractors and consultants of Vodacom and all other participating companies and their immediate families, life partners, associates, or business partners may not be winners of this promotion.
34. Vodacom, its associated companies, agents, contractors and any of its personnel involved in this promotion, assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage, death or injury arising from participation in the promotion or from claiming the prize or for any loss or damage, death or injury however arising.
35. Vodacom assumes no liability whatsoever for any entry that has been omitted from participation for any reason whatsoever.
36. Vodacom may in its sole discretion amend these terms and conditions at any time, without notice, and such amendments shall be deemed to have taken effect from the date of publication of the revised terms and conditions on the promoter's or Vodacom website.
37. Vodacom may refuse to award the prize if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices. Vodacom is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any participant for any reason.
38. Vodacom reserves the right to cancel, suspend or terminate this competition , without notice at any time and no liability shall lie against Vodacom, in favour of any participant or third party arising from such cancellation, suspension or termination.
